http://www.caardvarks.blogspot.com/ has a challenge to make our best wedding cards…there is the possibility to be published in Scrapbook Trends CARDS mag! I tried it in my friends wedding colours!! I will attempt again this afternoon after both kiddos are napping..but here is the first one I tried! I hope you like it! I used Cricut cardstock as the base, DCWV wedding paper as a matte on the page, primas, flowers cut with my cricut in shimmery irradescent velum, using George cartridge, and stickles to add a bit of glitter. Then I stamped my sentiment (from inkadinkadoo), and cut it out with a circle punch from Marvy, and distressed the edges a bit!
Well I got in my groove, and made 2 pages!! The first one is of Abigail, in an outfit she got a million times at her baby shower. I bought her one too..lol! I love the outfit. I painstakingly tried to recreate the bib’s horse and look in the layout! Not sure how good it is, but I think alright! The 2nd layout is of Zachary and Abby in their BIG BRO/ little sister shirts I got them at Gymboree! I love the shirts and the layout!! Enjoy!
http://onestopcraftchallenge.blogspot.com/ has a colour challenge of Apple Green, Chocolate and Clotted Cream..I chose to do a layout of Zachary at 3…well he is a trying little boy but adorable to boot! So he was my inspiration for this challenge. I Used my cricut, graphically speaking cartridge, and bazzill cardstock in apple green, chocolate brown and a cream colour! Hope you like it! Its my first layout in forever! Be gentle!!
Next I combined the challenge of a Valentines Day card from http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/ and the inspiration photo from http://www.scrapandstampsaturday.blogspot.com/ to create this adorable valentine!! I used my copics to colour her in..bazill black, purely pomegranate and pp cardstock.. the image I recieved in a swap, and she looked like the kiddo in the inspiration piccie, a bit!! I embellished a bit with a checkered brad, a prima in hot pink, and some hot pink gems!
Well hello Blog friends! It has been a long time since I have been here, or posted anything. I do have a very good excuse however! I had my daughter..a beautiful baby girl, on December 14,2009. She was 7lbs 8oz of perfection. Her name is Abigail, and we love her more than words can say! So needless to say I have had little time for blogworld lately and I apologize. It was easier to do challenges with 1 child, while he napped or watched a movie..with a newborn, its a bit tougher as when they nap, so do I. I had a few complications after pregnancy that also left me resting a bit more. Anyhow, I am back..and I am ready to create..my urges to create are tingling!! So of course I headed to http://dailydare4u.blogspot.com/ to see what this Saturday has..and here is what I found that inspired me :

Ok so today naptime came later than normal..yesterday..no nap..hence why I didn’t do the 2 sketches I posted yesterday. So I decided to let my mojo go on its own way without assistance today, and made some cards!!! Hope you enjoy!

So I started with DCWV Christmas Cardstock as the base, and then layered it up.. I found this holly like paper in a stack of sizzix paper I have, called little sizzles, that I have not used since banishing my sizzix to the garage sale.. then layered that with some fun christmas coloured patterned paper, then MORE layering with the happy holidays stamp on whisper white, and matted on the DCWV cardstock in the same green, and then I used my water colour pen to colour in the happy, and added some stickles to the star and the ornaments on the stamp *Big on Christmas* stampin up set, and then a poinsetta from *Season of Joy* stampin up on red bazzil, cut out, and stickled the center…2 silver branches cut from the martha stewart branch punch, and some silver ribbon. PHEW I think thats everything!
I only had time today to do 2 new Christmas cards…so here they are!!
