A few new pages!

Well I got in my groove, and made 2 pages!! The first one is of Abigail, in an outfit she got a million times at her baby shower. I bought her one too..lol! I love the outfit. I painstakingly tried to recreate the bib’s horse and look in the layout! Not sure how good it is, but I think alright! The 2nd layout is of Zachary and Abby in their BIG BRO/ little sister shirts I got them at Gymboree! I love the shirts and the layout!! Enjoy!

Well hello Blog friends! It has been a long time since I have been here, or posted anything. I do have a very good excuse however! I had my daughter..a beautiful baby girl, on December 14,2009. She was 7lbs 8oz of perfection. Her name is Abigail, and we love her more than words can say! So needless to say I have had little time for blogworld lately and I apologize. It was easier to do challenges with 1 child, while he napped or watched a movie..with a newborn, its a bit tougher as when they nap, so do I. I had a few complications after pregnancy that also left me resting a bit more. Anyhow, I am back..and I am ready to create..my urges to create are tingling!! So of course I headed to http://dailydare4u.blogspot.com/ to see what this Saturday has..and here is what I found that inspired me :

http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/ has a challenge to do a Valentines Day card {I think this is the challenge I will use to make my hubbys valentine}

http://onestopcraftchallenge.blogspot.com/ has a colour challenge of Apple Green, Chocolate and Clotted Cream… hmmm this one might REALLY get me out of my norm!!
http://www.scrapandstampsaturday.blogspot.com/ has the following :  This week we have an inspiration photo for you.  Now you can use as little or as much of this photo as your inspiration.  Does the colors speak to you?  The format?  How about the elements?  Use whatever draws you in!  We can’t wait to see your layout based on it! This leaves it open for alot of interpretation!  Remember to use at least one stamp on your layout! **See picture below..

We saw our baby! OH MY GOODNESS!! WOW!! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! IT HAS A HEARTBEAT ALREADY!!! IT’S ABOUT 20mm’s LONG AND LOOKS LIKE A LIL PEANUT! hehe! I am so stoked! My due date has changed now, to January 2nd, 2010..which is ironically my favorite Auntie’s birthday!!

Here are some pics of the pages I did today… You can tell I am excited about Peanut, as I already did his/her first scrapbook page!!!!

I did this layout as a fun challenge with my buddy over on http://divascrapping.blogspot.com .. The challenge was the colours orange, blue, green and yellow…4 pattern papers and lots of numbers on the page  and that was the only guidelines we came up with hahha.. so I created this page of Zachary on his 1st birthday… I did a play on words with “one”DERFUL to bring in the word ONE since he was turning one.. I also cut using my cricut,  a ONE mesh, from the Graphically Speaking Cartridge.. I just discovered this icon and was thrilled with the result. I went around the mesh in faux stitching (took forever!! LOL!!) and made the elements pop! I used mainly bazill cardstock, with some cricut cardstock mixed in! Hope you like,

Thanks for looking,

Cath
